a few months ago i bought a 95 gxe for 11,000 before taxes, it came out to a little less than 12,000. i bought it from a used toyota car dealer in langhorne penn. this is my question, the car had only 40,000 miles on it, actually a little less than that. i was wondering if its realistically possible for a five year old car to have such low mileage. at the time i wasnt too worried because i was buying it from a dealer but now i dont know. im too scared to pay 20 bucks and do the history thing through carfax because i dont know if i want to know? IF I DID DO THIS AND SOMETHING BAD CAME UP, IS THERE ANYTING I CAN DO ABOUT IT?????? thats what i want to know. thank you for any input.

I have a carfax subscription. Give me your VIN and I'll punch it up for you. Don't worry about the mileages though.

I got a 94 GXE in 97 with 21k miles. I just got a 98 GLE with 21k miles.

Consider yourself lucky.

If your car is running fine then what's the use?

I don't think you'll have any recouse in the matter, anyways.

Yes, it is possible to have low miles on a car.. some people may have another primary car and drive the Max as a secondary vehicle... this may not be the case but you know. Just assume you got a great deal...

just what chunger said. if there are no problems and everything seems to be sounding good, dont worry about that carfax trash. There are a lot of maximas 95-97 with lower miles now that these newer model cars came out. A lot of people i know went to the 2 door accord and the acuras, but the max still seems to outrun all of them. So good buy on your part

i don't think you shouldr eall worry about it

i have a 1995 nissan maxima, and there are only about 54000 miles logged in. i got it used, but from a close friend and he was the primary owner.

so having such low miles is possible, dont' worry.

ok yeah consider your self lucky

I bought my 88 last year from my dads boss with only 105k miles on it. And just think most 95's are either close to or at it or well above mine now. And mine is an 88. So consider your self lucky my car now has 140k, damn work commute aine good. I have to say Since I have moved to Atlanta I have put well overalot of miles on my car compared to when I lived in Texas. I dont like this, but oh well. Just knowing some or most 95's are at where Im at I laugh at them, no offense to you guys that have them, still love the max. In fact I m thinking about getting a 95-96 max this summer if all goes well. Has to be a Five speed, dont care much for picky options, just sunroof spoiler , basically an SE. Havent thought about color though. If its the right deal and with great options, color almost wont matter.

My mom's car

my mom has a 1997 Q45 which was purchased in sept 1996
current total milage 16,000 mi. I put on over 1000 of those myself. I purchased my max new in aug 1997 and have 76k now. It is possible for a car to have real low miles (4 years 16k). Just my .02 dont worry about it. nissan's DONT break by themselves
