Which ACT clutch is right for me?
It's new clutch time (this one wont hang with slicks...)
this is my daily driver, but I am looking at 300-400hp.. I was thinking act street, but will that be plenty enough for 400hp and slicks?
thanks.

I seem to remember 'people' saying that the ACT Street clutch was plenty strong enough to handle up to 300 hp & even beyond, but you may need the 4 or 6 puck if you're pushing 400hp.
As an aside, 400hp & slicks will destroy your tranny b4 too long if it has stock internals. But then, I digress - I'm sure you're aware of this possibility. The 4 or 6 puck will likely accellerate tranny wear dramatically, on account of the harsher engagement.
I tip my hat to you if you're able to put a true 400hp to the wheels - You've got yourself a SLEEPER FROM HELL! I just sincerely hope you don't break. My understanding was that the stock VQ internals are only safe up to around 350hp. Go forth wisely, brave warrior.
Just keep in mind: it is. . .your "daily driver."

Will the ACT clutch hold that much HP and Torque? The Phoung told me that the street disc and the modified PP will only hold up to 261Lbs of Torque.
Why cant he go with the stage II ACT instead?
I am not a clutch expert but just asking the question.

You could think about it this way. If you get the street disc and it doesn't hold up you will have to buy a new clutch kit. If you get the 4 or 6 puck and it messes up your tranny you will have to pay for a tranny rebuild. Which would you rather do?

HELL NO
are you nuts?
remember he's still driving this daily.
4 puck, your leg would be the size of a telephone pole. let alone your tranny would probably explode when you try shifting.
seriously. the HDMM is good up to 500hp.
no need to put on kevlar body armor if you're going to kill a fly.

I agree with the majority on here. You can't go wrong with the ACT street clutch. I haven't heard of ANY slipping yet. I've run a 100-shot on mine...and that's well over 300 ft/lbs of torque. If you can make the ACT slip, you should get some kind of medal

"HDMM" is part of the ACT Part # for the clutch.

Btw, anyone care to comment on the torque rating (362 ft/lbs) listed for the ACT Street clutch (on Courtesy Nissan's site, linked above?)
There seem to be a few differences of opinion flying around here on what this clutch is actually able to handle.
