WOT and Knock Sensor.........
This is a question for you ECU guros out there. I have been pulling a knock sensor code for a while now and I just haven't gotten down to replacing it just yet, along with the 02 sensors.
We all know that the ECU monitors knock and the 02 sensors when at idle and cruising. Well, when the car goes WOT, the ECU runs a pre-fixed program and doesn't monitor the 02 sensors. BUT, does the ECU still monitor knock when at WOT? The reason I am asking this is because I want to know if this may be a point I need to hit to make my 1/4 mile times better. Thanks all.

I think the ECU does monitor the knowck sensor in open-loop mode. This is where it is critical for the ECU to manage base timing to keep knock in check.
I know, for sure, that GM ECUs do monitor the KS at WOT.
