Tranny Problem ?? ***Please Read***

Ok tonight I was driving, put it into 3rd gear at like 50 and something felt like it broke...I pulled over into a driveway and my car cluncked to a stop..the shifter would not go into 1st or 2nd and would only into 3rd and 4th and 5th and reverse but wouldnt move at all when I went to release the clutch, all i would here is grinding of a gear like it wasnt realeasing at all, then i would stop trying...I have an ACT street clutch about 7000 Miles old and i also has a short throw...I think something snapped lose but i really dont know.. ?? I had it towed over to the guys that did the clutch a few months ago and i guess i will find out in the morning...the pedal feels normal and and there are no leaks visable...To me, I think its a tranny problem..but what actually happened to it ??
