I don't know much about the terrible Bose Stereo in Maxima's, but I do know that 'ticking sound' is the cd laser trying to find where to read and it can't so it spits the cd out. This also happens when you put badly burned or heavily scratched cds in ( at least from my experience ). First try another cd. If it still does it, I konw this might sound a little extreme, but my friend had a cd in the player and it wouldn't come out when he hit the eject button, so he unplugged the battery, plugged it back in, and when he pressed eject it came out.

Fried

That's what happened to mine. The Clarion deck is fried. Consider it a blessing and get a nice new one with your xmas money!

replacement

I asked at circuit city about replacing my Bose in my 95 SE and the guy told me i have to rewire my whole car?? Is this true and if so how hard is it. I want a nice one with the organic display and actually pre-outs.

Circiut City = FOOLS

No. Go to crutchfield.com and pick yourself up something nice. Call them and ask for the interface that works with Maxima BOSE systems. You can pick out a deck and this adapter plugs it right into the BOSE system.
