don't know...but try this...

Welcome to the org

I have no idea who/what/when/where or why about rewiring things but this is what i got off the search when i put in "corner lights rewire". hope it helps.

One thing everyone will always tell you is to use the search function (upper right hand side of the page). It's pretty extensive and 99.9% of the time something's been talked about before.

hope everything works out and again, welcome to the board!

If it's the first time you're taking them off they might be a little stuck.

After you remove the one screw on top, you need a nice long flat screwdriver to geltly pry out the front. If you pull out the light a little and use a flashlight, you can see where it's secured with a pop in metal thing. (what's it called?)

After you pop that out, the housing falls right out.

I actually put some grease on the metal pin and hole that it goes in last time. Now the light's pop off easily by just pulling.

goodluck.

pull out forward towards front of car or laterally towards side of car? i was trying to change my passenger bulb and ended up just squirreling my hand in there. But the driver side looks nearly impossible to change w/o removing the lamp housing.
btw, the polarg corner bulb looks awesome w/my overwatted MTEC headlight bulbs.

Re: Corner lights

Don't force it the corner housing out !!!!

I learned this the hard way and had to buy another one.

the housing is connected to frame by a "ball and socket"

the ball part is on the corner light housing.

after the unsrew the philips screw on top (this is the easy part)

you can kinda see where the ball and socket is (use a flashlight)

take a long flathead screwdriver and place it between the ball and

socket and then quickly twist the screwdriver. VOILA !! your done.

the instruction manual show it as pulling it out, don't do this,

you'll be pulling all day until the housing breaks...

hope this helps

Yep, exactly what tomcat said.

Knew there was a name for that thing.. ball and socket.

Once you get it off, just smear some grease on both parts. Next time you wanna take them off, it'll be Sooo easy..

There are some more instructions on maximadriver.com

When I did mine I used soap water, cause I didn't have WD40 around. This mod should only take you about 30 minutes. Enjoy!
