Installing new lights, have a question

I have PolarG M14s to go in the clearance lights on my 98 maxima...the Haynes manual I have says to take off the screw on top, then twist till it comes off the clip on the bottom.....all I wanna know is, how hard do I have to twist?? I don't wanna bust the lens or anything....

Check the FAQ at the top of the page. It'll tell you how to get out the light.

If it's the first time you're taking them off they might be a little stuck.

After you remove the one screw on top, you need a nice long flat screwdriver to gently pry out the front. If you pull out the light a little and use a flashlight, you can see where it's secured with a pop in metal thing. (what's it called?)

After you pop that out, the housing falls right out.

I actually put some grease on the metal pin and hole that it goes in last time. Now the light's pop off easily by just pulling.

goodluck.

Wrap the screwdriver in a shirt...if you slip you can kiss that pain bye bye. Be careful too, if you push too hard you can crack your lense.

i had better luck sticking my hand down in from the engine bay and reaching underneath. its still a real pain, but the lense housing just wouldnt budge.

Yeah, I was almost gonna try that, but I'm not sure, since I got some rather meaty arms
