another suspension question

I need all of your guys' help. I would like to lower my 98 max se some since it looks strange with the big wheel to fender gap! What would be the best and most reasonably priced spring/shock(strut) combo for my money. I do not want to ride like the old low rider trucks and bounce all over the place.. Thanks for the help!
