I tried blue 194 LED's behind my gauges, and it didnt look right. The light was not spread evenly, and the LED's burned out within a week of purchase.

i got the blue leds too but i got the four in one kind so it is not evenly spread, i am going to get the green single leds to match the rest of the interior lights and so there wont be hot spots any more.

I'd stay away from playing with those LED's as a friend of mine had uneven spread of the light, and it really did not look good, and I've talked with several people on this board over the years who decided they liked the stock look much better than the Blue or Red LED's that they replaced them with.

If I was you, I'd go with the Intelliglow mod, they have a group deal on them, and they look great. I have my entire dash apart right now, going to finish the install with light out in the morning! I'll take pics

I tried 4 blue 194 cluster led's from Autodynamic. All 4 of those those things blew like clockwork within about three weeks. I'll never put LED's in again. I did order some Hyperwhite polarg 194's with the slight blue tint. I'll put them in the gauges this weekend and post some pics. I think they'll have much better output than those led's.

I ordered LED's straight from Japan. They are the 4 cluster ones. I'm not sure who makes them or anything, the writing is all in Japanese. There are English directions on the back, however, I think it is a direct litteral translation from the Japanese....It makes no sense.

Anyway, I have had my blue led's in since June and had no problems what so ever. The only thing I dislike about them is the uneven light spread. Oh well, I think they kick A$$, and that is really all that matters.

My 2¢

Just check to make sure you have 194's back there. I don't. I didn't realise until I had removed my gauges. Good thing the car drives without a gauge cluster

I still have the same led's I installed in november '02 in my dash. But then again I don't leave the lights on the highest setting with the dimmer.. so that may be why I've had no problems with fading or burn outs.

I've been running Polarg 194's in since Aug. and I did notice some fading, or better put, slight change of colours over time, but the brightness is still maintained. I get many compliments from them too, as they are certainly brighter than the rest of the dash lights.
Oh, and I run them @ maximum brightness too
