Rear window defroster, defrosts too slow.
My rear window defroster is defrosting way too slow and is getting progressively worse. Is there something that I can replace to correct the problem or is this a "take to the dealer" issue?

It's a Japanese thing
Most Japanese cars are afflicted with glitches like this. My 86' 760 Turbo Volvo would destroy my 98' Maxima when it comes to things like seat warmers, defrosting of ALL windows, etc.
It's not until you get to the high end models, i.e. Infiniti, Lexus, Acura, that some of the problems are addressed.

try this......
it is reccomended you turn on your A/C prior to using the defrost feature.. or turning the heat/climate control on and pointing it at the windows...
i have this problem as well but the A/C thing really helps out.. surprisingly.

Our old Audi 5000 and Volvos had seat heater settings from toasty warm to egg frying hot
