Mirrored xenon bulbs in Autozone - wattage?

Can anyone help me with this - I saw a set of Xenon bulbs in several colors - purple, hyperwhite and orange - in Autozone and Pepboys in a white plastic box with mirrored back - they are mirrored bulbs that claim to have like 50% more light output, but nowhere on the box or the bulbs does it say what wattage is is. However, there is a warning on the side that higher wattage bulbs can cause damage. Hmmmm. Does anyone have experience with those bulbs and know what wattage they are?

Best advice ... skip those lights and get some Philips BlueVisions or some Silverstars.

Same wattage as stock, but brighter than stock so no worries about melting harnesses.

hey there man....i recomend you put 65/45 as your maxima manual says...well depend of your year, but you should cause if you put more than that...100/80w you will burn de base of the light. Theres a lot of colors of bubls, dont be fool with that. I recomend sylvania silver star, piaa, xtra white, if you want some cheap buy hella 9004XE DB that are very good and cheap will cost like 8 dollars each, if you compare with piaa will around 98 dollars or more.

youd have to take the bulbs outta the box and look on the body for the wattage, all manufacturers stamp there bulbs on the base.

Hello. I know the bulbs you speak of. They are #1157 bulbs, correct? The bottom half of the round bulb is like chrome or something. I had the same question as you, what is the wattage? Well, anyway, I e-mailed APC, the makers of the bulbs, and they told me they are 11/27w low/high respectivly. I have had these in my Max for about 4 months, and no probs.

Woops, I forgot to mention that they are 1157 bulbs, not headlight bulbs. They are exactly the APC bulbs you describe, is that the same as the factory wattage? That warning on the side of the box kind of scared me off from buying them.

BTW, what would happen w/ those mirrored bulbs if I did the re-wire on the clearance lights? Would the mirror part be damaged?

The wattage is the same as stock. I did the resolder mod so mine always run high. It does no damage. My bulbs look just as new now as they did. Unusually good quality from APC.
