finished installing the rear seats and ran into a couple problems. the leather by the headrest mounds seems to be bunching. for those of you who have done the install, what did you guys do to correct it?

A lot of pulling and tugging. How sore are your hands yet?Originally posted by kickyoazzz

haha, they wouldve been even more sore had i not had a friend do the pulling and tugging while i crimped the hogrings. i could only imagine what it wouldve been like doing this install on my own. its definitely alot easier with a helping hand. so do you think i should undo the existing rings up top and redo it, or keep pulling/tugging, and adding more rings? i also had a problem with the inserts lining up, theyre off about 1cm. i may just have to redo the whole thing. ughh

i think that lil excess up there is normal, ive seen those leather seats in person on a few max's and the rear seats always looked a lil loose fitting. That one reason i havent gotten them yet

Do you guys have any pics of the install.. i wanted to see how hard it really looked,, or if it was just easer to try to find full leather seats at a junk yard
well its definitely easier to find used leather seats at the junkyard, and probably cheaper too. theres plenty of pics posted if you do a search for leatherseats.com. although i havent seen too many pics with shots of the backseat.
sucks but in te end you will be happy
