Brighter Headlights Mod

Ok. I need some varification on this mod. I heard from a fellow org member that if you take the ground wire from for your headlight and ground it to the chassis this will make your headlights brighter because when you ground the wire to the chassis it frees up some power that was going thru resistnace before you grounded it to the chassis. Has anyone done this?

it wouldn't hurt? Well, rather than cutting it, you could try splicing the ground wire to the chassis. It may be brighter... but if so, at least it will lower the "dimming" whenever you roll ure windows down or whatnot.

Yeah i have noticed that our cars have a big problem with dimming while rolling down windows etc. Is that the ground's fault?

If you're gonna do that, then go all the way...ground the headlight to the neg battery terminal!
Do a search on "hyperground" to learn more about grounding benefits.

any grounding upgrades you do will ONLY bring your electrical system/whatever performance the way it was when it was brand new outta the factory. Technincally this would only make it as bright as it was when the car was first made. Over the years, ground points and electrical system do degrade causing resistance.
