Brake squeal when car is cold

I replaced my brakes a few months ago with some pads I got from the auto parts store. Don't remember the brand of the pads. Lately I get an embarrasing squeal when I drive the car after it's sat for a while. After a few minutes of driving the squeal goes away. When the noise is happening it takes place when the car is in motion. If I press the break pedal at all the noise goes away. You guys think my replacement pads are bad, or did I do something wrong. I have changed many pads on many cars and have never had this squeal.

Thanks...

Cheap pads.

Factory pads are more expensive, but typically won't squeal. I would also be sure you replaced the shim kit and used the anti-squeal gook that gets put on the back of the pads...
