97 fog switch stalk

hey i wanna know if a 97 fog light switch stalk will fit in a 96 maxima?

NO IT WILL NOT! Trust me its a $75 mistake which i have commited. You need a 96 or 95.

Isnt it the same for all 95-99 years. If not why wouldnt it work?

No, it won't. Says so in the 97+ install instructions from Nissan.
I don't have the nissan parts catalog on me, but when I get home tonight, I'll check the part numbers. I'm willing to bet 4th gen and 4.5th gens are diff...in addition, the wiper stalks are diff between the 2.

heres an

call your local Nissan Part dept and ask them if the 95/96 models have a different part number than the 97/99!

see and if you woulda just called there would have been no need to waste your time posting!!!

IT WILL NOT WORK

I TRIED IT BUT IT WAS A WASTE OF TIME, THE HARNESSES ARE DIFFERENT. (i JUST BOUGHT A PILOT FOG LIGHT WIRING KIT TO WIRE MY FOGS TO A SEPARATE SWITCH

The foglight stalks from the 95-96 and the 97-99 are NOT interchangeable. I ordered a foglight kit from Courtesy-Nissan a while back when I was doing the front end conversion and the 97-99 foglight stalk would NOT fit into my 96.
