Supercharger install almost finished ... except!
Supercharger install almost finished ... except!
After a whole bunch of horrible, horrible problems (ie, missing parts, really badly dented thermostat, acouple of other things), we've almost got this thing installed. We're setting up the tubing & CAI & whatnot, but seeing as how my buddy's installing it at his shop, and I live an hour away from him, travelling over to his place to show him where I *think* the intake air temperature sensor is, seems kind of silly to me.
Anyone have some pictures I can send to him to show him where it is? Or can describe well enough where to look for it so he can find it? Cause he's not having much luck with it.

Heheh, no, MAF sensor is part of the tubing. This is the sensor that everyone zip-ties, or leaves hanging near the filter if their intake (like mine) doesn't have a hole for it. It's fairly small, and I don't have a picture of where it should be, or what it's connected to.

#4. Where's the other end of the wire, if one end is just hanging around somewhere?

That was the actual sensor though right? The FSM looks like it says it's connected to the wires on the MAF sensor, but I don't remember it being there.

The air temperature sensor looks like the tip of a pencil, with a rubber o-ring around it.
This is the only picture I could find of it. Its circled at the bottom right.

There are two sensor that gets confused. I think one is called the ambient temp sensor which should have a hole to plug in the tubing of the SC. The other one is called an air temp sensor which is a very skinny looking tube. On a CAI for example, there are three connections, one of them is a very skinny/thin tube extension where you suppose to plug the air temp sensor tube in. In any case, I still haven't found a solution for mine. I just zip tied it and left it dangling. Problem is by doing this my CEL is on all the time. Mardisgrasmax showed me how his did his, but it didn't work for me, the CEL still came back on after I cleard the code. So now I'm running with the CEL on.
Thanks a lot guys .. I managed him afew pictures of it from the FSM & Haynes manual pages at ptatohed's site. ejj's picture however, was phenominal, just a little bit late
Thanks for the help, Buddy got all the piping setup tonight, should be running by tommorow, and I should post more pics up later of the full setup. Thanks again!
