PIAA Xtreme White 9004 Bulbs

I purchased a pair of the subject bulbs for my '97 SE. The instructions indicate that you need to make sure the relay
harness is capable of the extra amperage. Is this going to
be a problem? I've been told that they are a direct plug in
and no modifications are required. Just want to make sure.

They'll be fine. I've been running them for months with stock harness.

Yeah, I have had em in since mid september. They work fine, no melting or anything. Beware though, in rainy weather, and on black (new pavement) roads, they are ****.

That's strange. I've heard nothing but good things about these bulbs. Does anyone else have any comments (negative or positive) about them?

Save your money, forget about PIAA 9004 bulbs and get yourself some Sylvania Extravisions or Sylvania Siverstars. They blow the PIAA's out of the water and you'll save about 60 bucks!

Peraonally I'd recommend the Extravisions for 12 bucks. They throw a very wide bright clean beam of light across the road. Excellent in the rain as well.

PIAA H3's on the other hand are sweet!

I agree w/ him. I have the PIAAs and I can't see worth $heet when it's black and rainy. There's a new HID product out w/ a low/high beam. I'm going to look into that. Maybe then I would be able to see at night... or just get a night vision system!
