installing white glow gauges

last night i installed some white glow gauges i bought from e-bay on my 95 maxima. I finished, connected everything back together, but now none of my needles move! trip odometer and the other odometer work, and the check engine light stil works but the only thing that doesnt work are the needles. what do you supposed the problem could be? what would they charge me to fix it?

maybe the gauges aren't on there all the way causing a little rub between the needle and the gauge therefore making it stationary

Yeah how did you secure the new gauge faces?

The black plastic bezel that surrounds each gauge is what sorta holds them in place. With that tape you are using, you are raising the face of the gauges closer to the needles, hence why they won't move because the gauge faces are touching the needles. Either try removing the tape completely and try installing them without the tape or put a little piece of tap on each corner of the gauge face to keep it in tact.

DOUBLE SIDED TAPE! I had the same problem, put some tape underneath and screwed the gauge faces on with the original screws, work just fine now.

Try that thread there. I had the same problem with OEM SE white faces. It took a few trys to resolve, but eventually it all worked out. Read that and PM me if you have any questions.

The needles always seem like a delicate thing to touch. It seems people are always haveing problems when they try to change them out.

Drill them out first, if the material is heavy enough...that is what I did...

Yea, I just installed my indiglow gauges on my 95 GXE today.

I noticed the gauges weren't very secure after I took the screws out. I tried using super glue on the posts each gauge was sitting on, but that didn't work. Finally I figured I would have to find a way to reuse the screws.

I compared the new faces with the old to see approximately where the screw holes would have to be. There weren't any circuit lines under the new faces in the areas that needed drilling so I figured it was safe.

I think the screws really help prevent the needle sticking problem since they hold the center of the face down and also keep the whole gauge from moving around.

I'll take it out for a spin tomorrow and see if there are any problems.

BTW: Other things I did today..
1. Installed self made aluminum bezel (painted metallic black)
2. Gunmetal gauge rings
3. Painted needles translucent red.

I'll have to take some pictures tomorrow. Too tired now..
Think I need some blue blubs.. heh.
