Crank pulley: Unorthodox vs RVM

I read each and every post regarding underdrive pulleys here. What I got out if it was that the RVM pulley is 1.7 lbs and the Unorthodox is 1.56 lbs. Other than that however, has anyone had a chance to compare the 2 pulleys? How is the quality of the RVM? Are there any dyno numbers for the RVM vs the Unorthodox? I guess you'd have to compare using 2 similar cars to see if the gains match up for both pulleys.

Lastly, are the belts the same for both pulleys? This is what I have gathered for the UR pulley:

Alternator & Water Pump
1995-02 Gates # K060408
Power Steering
1995-02 Gates # K040292
If this one does not fit then try: Gates # K040300

I'd appreciate it if anyone could post their findings on this.

Thanks!

Regardless of the weight if the circumference is the same (which I figure it would be) then they should be the same belt sizes as well.

Think you are right Sudz, other UR pulleys for other vehicles have been cloned and sold cheaper. Probably the same with this one.

I just got the RVM pulley and have yet to install it, but it looks to be of good quality.

Is the diameter of the RVM pulley the same as UR?

RVM's site said that their pulley is BIGGER diameter than stock, but much lighter in weight. Is that true? I thought that the UR and RVM pulleys were both smaller in diameter than stock.

I'm about to change my belts, and am going ahead and getting a lighter UDP probably from unorthodox. Anyone know of the best place to buy one? I did a search but prices are constantly changing, I was wondering what the newest best place to buy one is?

just out of curiousity, why would you pay twice as much for Unorthodox Racing brand vs. RVM?

Hadn't heard of RVM.

I didn't know that there was a significant difference in price. I will get the RVM.

The Unorthodox weighs 1.56, the RVM 1.7, what's the stock pulley's weight

If its an underdrive pulley it has to be smaller. A larger pulley would make it drive faster not slower. Larger on the alternator or power steering would make it drive slower but not the drive pulley.
