Got a '97 SE...

When I turn arm the car alarm, the lights blink twice, but there is no audible alert. Is there supposed to be one? Is there any way to turn it on, if there is?

What happens when you disarm the alarm? My interior light turns on, that's about it.

Just curious because it would help me find my car in a parking lot.

 

You're right on both counts- there's no audible alert and the interior just lights up when you unlock the doors. You can turn off the alarm when its going off with the lock button also. There have been quite a few threads on this subject, but no one is quite sure how to make the stock alarm give an audible alert.
