Angry Mercedes driver

Today I was returning fron LA going north on 15 and I was travelling in the right lane. I looked ahead and saw I would be trapped by the cars in the passing lane if I didn't get over and just then a new expensive mercedes roadster (the 75 to 85 thousand type) is sitting on my left. I floored the car and the guy in the mercedes floored his to keep me from moving over. I flew past that jerk and pulled in front of him and he flashed me a dirty look and then a few minutes later while I'm still in the passing lane and not paying attention to him, he passes me on the right and I just smiled at him. I don't think he was too happy that a $31,000 car whipped his expensive butt!

Shouldn't that be a $31K car with $10K in mods?

He did not get his moneys worth for sure.
But when your filthy rich it does not matter.

Are you sure is was the SL500 and not some SLK320?

At some angles, the SL and SLK can look very similar even though there is like $45,000 separating the two. Either way, neither is exceptionally fast. Aside from the SL55 AMG version.
