To get the light out you have to press down on the blub while turning it counter-clockwise

Hope this helps,

he is talking about getting the lense out first...take a long thin flat head screwdriver and stick it in beside the joint and twist the screwdriver asnd it should pop out....

you dont really need to take out the lens.. just reach in there with your hands (if theyre not too big), and you should be able to take the socket out with the bulb without removing the lens from the car..

I'm actually still not clear on something, I want to rewire my lights too, and someone told me to snip off the top nub onthe bulb, however I was looking at them today, and they seem to be the same distance away if you ask me. SO I am still not sure which one to take off. Please help!!

That was so easy! After knowing where the socket joint was of course. But for the first lense, it was a bit hard to get it out but the second like "poped out" when I unscrewed the screw, I think the socket is broken but that doesn't really matter. That's the easiest mod I've done so far on my max and if was free! and it looks great! Thx guys for the help. Oh yeah, another lil' question, I didn't have electric tape so I used duct tape, do you think that the glue is gonna melt and mess up something?

yeah i think the snipping method only works on a 97+.. theres some other procedure for rewiring the corner lights on a 95-96. do a search.

No, the methods are the same for all years.

If you look closely at the bulb, you'll see that the nubs are at different heights...

Yeah I know but venompwr2 said that the nubs where the same height for him.. Maybe he has 1156 bulbs instead of 1157s?
