I'm in desperate need of help with taking off clearance lights
Sup peoples - I'm 'bout to rip out these clearance lights !!! There's this 1 piece that I can't seem to pull out (the "ball and socket" thing)...I removed the 1 screw, then I pulled the plastic tab out. I flooded the "ball and socket" with WD-40, but it just doesn't want to come out. It seems like there's something on the bottom of the clearance assembly holding it in. I'd hella appreciate any help, and thanks in advance.

I don't understand why you guys pull the lights off the car to change the bulbs. Just reach under the assembly, follow the wires if that helps you, it's tight I give you that. When you feel the tabs on the bulb socket, turn it counter clockwise and it comes right out.
Take about 5 minutes to change both sides once you get the feel for it.

In the manual there are instructions with pictures. Before I knew this forum existed, I used it to get my corner lights out and found it to be very helpful. I was only trying to help you and you shouldn't have taken my response as sarcastic. I'll remember to ignore any of your questions in the future.

Simply use a long flat head screw, put it between the lil' metal thing and the black thing and twist it, it will pop out by itself. I just did that mod yesterday and it wasn't that hard.

I was about to seriously damage something before I got mine off.. they were stuck in there for good.. I was ripping my hands apart for 20 minutes then I got enough sense to pry the actual ball socket out with a flathead screw driver..
