Service Engine Soon after Clutch burning smell
Service Engine Soon after Clutch burning smell
Hi everyone. I have a 1998 SE with 80K and for the past 3 days (Including today) I have been smelling the clutch. Also, this morning while driving to work the Service Engine Soon light came on. Is this related to the clutch? Or is it just a coincidence? I have not had a chance to check the error codes but I was just curious on what it could be. Yes I did service the car at 60K. Thanks for any inputs gang.
Here is the latest, after work yesterday I reset the Service Engine Soon light and started the car, no light -- Great. I didn't get more than 20 feet and the light was flashing at me. I drove the car for about 10 minutes and decided to pull over into a parking lot to check the codes again. This time I got 0505 (No problem to report or something like that). So I reset the ECU (So I thought) and again no light when I turned on the car, I didn't get more than 20 feet and it was flashing again. This time I waited until I got home (about 450 min later). Check the codes again I first got 0215 (Undefined), reset it, shut the car off, then turned the car on, no light. I checked the codes again, this time I got 0505. I reset the ECU again, and took the car for a spin, no light. Is this car possessed or is it a hint that something is going bad?
