Rear Door doesnt close smoothly

Someone told me that my rear doorcheck needs replacing because if you swing the door close, it doesnt move very fluidly and then stops in mid swing.

Anyone else have this experience? I have a 95 GLE.

My rear driver's side is the same way. I think there was a TSB a while back about this. Never had it done though. I believe it's an issue with the metal hinge...the TSB replaces it with a plastic one...or so I heard. Hope this helps.

is it filled with crap? clean it out, then lube it up with lithium grease. i did that and it made them a lot smoother than they were. still not great but better.
