Who would win at the track?

What car is faster in the 1/4 mile? A stock 1995 Max gxe auto or a stock 1995 Max se auto? Or are they the same?

What about a 95 max gxe auto with frankencar intake vs a 95 max se auto with tranny cooler?

Depending on the options in each car, there could be just a slight weight difference if one of the cars has less options. The cars are going to be about even stock.

As stated, both cars are basically the same except for slight variations in weight. In real world, it would be a driver's race.

BTW, a tranny cooler does nothing for speed.

Are both the cars in perfect running condition? There are some little tricks you can do to give yourself a slight advantage. Remove weight from the trunk of the car (spare, jack, trunk floor board), remove the A/C belt, bump your timing up a few degrees, clean out your TB really well, etc.

GXE because steelies are lighter and GXEs weigh less.

How do we do that easily? I thought you need to change the ECM...

does anyone know if the Nissan part numbers are different?

You need to change the ECM. Timing cannot be adjusted the old fashion way because there is no distributor.

Bags is right. My '96 15" SE wheel weighs about 19lbs. Combined them with the Bridgestone RE950 tires, they weigh in at 44lbs. Pretty heavy for stock wheels and having the usually heavy Bridgestones don't help.
