What Tire size should I get for stock rim?
Well I need new tires what tire size would you recommend? The stock size on my 97 Se are as most of you know 215/55/16

Whats a good all season tire with great dry traction and still under $100 a tire?

Thank you and I have chossen to go with Bridgestone Potenza RE950. Too bad they come in H rating and not v.

Are you going to go with 225/50's or 215/55's? I'm having new rubber mounted tomorrow and would prefer to go with the 225's.

By the way, I'm brand spankin' new to the forum. Just bought a 1999 SE and I love it! Great site ya got here. Lotsa good info. I'll be surfing for hours.

I am going to go with 215/55/16. I dont want to go with 225/50/16 because it will throw the speedometer off.

Also, remember the Sumitomo HTR+. It is cheaper than both, and a good performer for those of us on tight budgets.

I would go w/ his tire size recommendation, though. It does not throw the speedo off by much (1-2 MPH @ 75), and is slightly shorter (better accelleration and a shorter sidewall for better cornering) w/ a slightly wider footprint.

Try tirerack.com, then seei fyou can find a local merchant to match the Price. Sears carries the Sumitomo HTR+ and the Dunlop A2, and will match the price on either.
