For all who have aftermarket pedals,,,
I just recently bought a set of Sparco Grip pedals for my 5spd. However the brake and clutch are metal underneath, and have large welds attaching them to the actual mechanics. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for drilling in the pedals. I have all the nessecary tools to drill throught the metal, just wondering if anyone had to relocate the pedals off to the side to avoid the welds or something? Does it seem different if they are a little closer of further apart? Thanks.

Well, since I already searched that EXACT thread before posting, it dosn't exactly help. What I want to know is, for those that drilled into their pedals, did you just move the pedal off center a bit, and if you did, could you notice much of a difference while driving? i.e. pedals to close, pedals too far left or right. Any help would be appriceated.

If you normally wear BIG shoes...
there will be a fitment/pedal/foot problem.
Just wait others will post on this topic and confirm...
I drilled mine into the stock pedals...looked cool for about 8 months...always felt strange...yes I re-spaced them several times...I finally took mine off

Re: If you normally wear BIG shoes...
problem solved. I bolted gas pedal down through stock pedal, and JB Welded the clutch and brake. Just put a little on though so it will be easy to pry off if I feel like it. But I think the new pedals are pretty good, and they look really sweet (match the sparco ****)
