Installed New Battery, now Viper Alarm wont go off and other things dont work, HELP..

So, my battery died today on my 99 Maxima SE. I buy a new one, install it and as soon as the cables touch the posts my Viper 300ESP starts going off at a very low volume. I try to disarm, but nothing doing. I've already raised the hood, opened the doors and set off every possible trigger at this point. I try to start the car and nothing. Apparently this alarm has an ignition kill switch that I wasnt even aware of. I finally jump my brand new battery off my other car, and the Maxima starts. However, the A/C, stereo, hazards, rear defrost, and rear lights do not work. My headlights, brake lights, interior lights do work though. So, I get the car home, turn it off and the friggin alarm is still going off at a very low volume. I'm at a loss. I guess I will take it to the shop that installed the alarm and have them check it out. Any ideas from anyone here would be appreciated.

Sounds like the alarm drained the battery? And the new battery isn't "new"? I don't understand why jumping the new battery would work? I would pull the harness off the Viper and try starting the car...see if everything in the car is ok. If everything checks out, plug the Viper back in and go from there. Vipers suck...you pull the brain and you can start the car.
