Need help with rims....

I guys, I really need some help deciding which rims to buy for my 98 Max... I am going back and forth between 17's and 18's...I like the 18's look wise, but I"m worried about the performance, the car is a daily driver in NY, and I dont want it to be totally uncomfortable. I am not sure if the 17's will look good or not, I want it to look like I have rims on the car...I am going to get Sumitomo All Season performance tires for whatever I get, because I am going to leave them on all the time. I am also going to get a new suspension, H&R springs and KYB struts...I have read a lot that the H&R's are the best for ride comfort. The rims I am lookiong at are the Mille Miglia EVO5 or the Moda R6 . . . I guess my question is, is there a real big difference ride wise between 17's and 18's, and how do the 17's look on a Maxima... Any help would be great, thanks guys...

the 18's will ride hasher than 17's because of having a lower profile tire....

I know they will be harsher, but how much harsher...I mean, what is the difference between a 225/45/17 tire, and a 235/40/18, is the difference going to be so noticable ??

I don't think the ride will be that much different w/ 17's or 18's. I had 17's and now I have 18's. I say get 18's
Oh yea, sig has the 18's on

if your going to be using them all year round, i say go for the 17's - they look great on a maxima (of course nothing beats 18's.....but oh well, win some ya lose some)

its not really the wheels but the tires that will slow you down. My tires weigh a ton for my 18s but the actual wheels only weigh 25lbs and you can get some under 20lbs. If you want looks get 18s, if you want performance get 15s, there really isnt anything in between because you will loose one or the other.

I think I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go with the 18's, there cant be that much of a difference between 17's and 18's, and the looks will even everything out...Plus, if I get the 18's, I wont really know what the 17's ride like, so it wont matter... Do you guys like the EVO's or the Moda's on a silver max ?? Any other suggestions on what rims to get... Something between 1,000 - 1,500

I have 18'z with Ground Controls lowered to 3" w/ KYB AGX'z. The ride is awesome, so I'd say go with 18'z.

get 18s, but get 18x8s or 8.5s and put 245-40-18 tires on. That will give you somewhat more sidewall height t han 235-40-18s.
