I am planning to buy one on through ebay, what's the maximum I should pay for a used key fob?
I figured $15 should be tops for a used one ...

the handles on mine broke off, can't put em on my key chain

If you still hve the handle, use epoxy and glue it back up or super glue.

Don't buy it from the dealer, they want $100+... On the ebay you can get one in almost new condition for $20-30.. sometimes even cheaper..

 

I would like to get a keyless entry for my max. i see the remote controls on e-bay for like $20 dollars (average) but is that all i need?

 

Yeah... Just make sure its for your model. Seller usually lists FCC and IDs, make sure they match... they also have pictures.... then all you do is programm it in 5 minutes... u can get instructions from internet....
delaers will rip you off and want $100+ for remote...

i looked at a few of the remotes on ebay and i noticed that they all have the same FCC and ID. i guess as long as its that same number i'll be ok.
