HELP: Turn Signals Not Working!!

Well everything was working fine until yesterday when the blinkers quit working. When I press the HAZARD button they DO work but cant use them as a turn signal. I checked the fuses and they are fine.

Any Idea WTH is wrong with them? Any help will be highly appreciated

It can't be bulbs, because he says they work with hazards. Maybe theres somethin messed up with your stalk...I think motorvate.ca has somethin along the lines of this.

Don't worry about them, just stick your nose in the air and pretend you are driving a Beemer or Mercedes, they don't even have signal lights.

So you've replaced the fuses for "Turn" and "HAZARD L."

Try disconnecting your Flasher unit and see if the lights stay on permanently with no flashing. I had a similar thing with my car when I first got it - the previous owner put in clear corners and I guess one of them fell out and severed the turn signal and clearnace light wires so there was no bulb attached to the turn signal. I was getting the super fast clicking on turn signal but normal on hazards.
Then in the process of trying to solder on new wiring for the bulb I must have shorted the circuit, because then I had no turn signal but hazards worked. I replaced the TURN fuse and it was all fixed.

Okay here is the quote from the service manual. Thats the best I can do.

Turn signal lamps do not operate but hazard warning lamps operate.

1. 7.6A Fuse. Check 7.5A fuse (No. 14, located in fuse block) Turn ignition switch ON and verify battery positive voltage is present at terminal 2 of hazard switch.

2. Hazard Switch. Check hazard switch.

3. Turn signal switch. Check turn signal switch.

4. Open in turn signal switch circuit. Check LG/B wire between combination flasher unit and turn signal switch for open circuit.

LG=Light Green
B =Black

Good Luck

I have a '92 Maxima and i'm having the same problem with my blinkers. All the fuses are good and i replaced the flasher relay unit, which is easy to get to but difficult to find if you don't really know where or what your looking for. After plenty of frustration, i found the relay and replaced it but that did not correct the problem. I still have no blinkers.

I saw on a forum somewhere, which i can't find again, one person saying he had the same problem with his blinkers, replaced the flasher unit like i did, and it also didn't work for him, so he replaced the "4-way flasher." and that fixed the problem.

Does anyone know anything about this 4-way flasher and where's it's located? i can't seem to find any information about it and i don't know what else to try in order to fix my turn signals!
