Clutch squeaking. How to fix?
For some reason my clutch is making some squeaking noise. It sounds like if its coming from the hydraulic system. I hear this every time I push the clutch. It almost sounds like if it needs some lubrication. I checked on the hydraulic system but I can't find a way to put some grease on it since there is a dust boot all over the thing. Have any one had this problem? Please help.
Have you tried lubriccating the pedal assembly or have you definitely narrowed down the squeek towards the slave cylinder area? If you can here it coming from the transaxle, there is nothing you can do until you change the clutch.
I don't know much about the hydraulic system, but in my last car the clutch squeeked. I discovered it needed new bushings... clutch bushings--- these go on the interior of the car, near where the pedal meats the ... you know all the engine stuff
...
lubricants like WD-40 (and ugh... K-Y Brand Liquid Personal Lubricant), did not help.
By the way, when it got cold around my area the clutch squeeked even when I had the new bushings installed!
Anyway hope this helps.

My clutch stared squeaking a few months back. Finally got my head down there to see where it was comming from. Seemed to be mostly from inside, where the spring and piston thing are. Put some white silicone lubricant on. It took most of the noise away. It hard to get up in there to grease everything. I am going to try and put on more soon, hopefully all the noise will go away. A sight noise I can tell is not from the inside. I plan on replacing my clutch after winter hopefully a new throw out bearing will fix that?????
