This a good deal?

Ive gotten a lot of help from all you recently and that is why i am set on buying a Maxima; what other car has this kind of support (40 replies to varies messages in a day!)...but it has come down to two i believe....

Choice 1 --

97 SE w/85k miles
LOADED
Black/tan leather
Auto
**Advantage to this one is the luxury i would like, it has every option available**
Asking $10,900, could get far lower, probably $10k..I am seeing this one tomorrow afternoon...

Choice 2 --

97 SE w/72k miles
Black/cloth, spoiler, Magnaflow exhaust, tinted
5spd, Bose, sunroof..
**Advantage here is 5spd and price, but my main worry is if they added Magnaflow and tinted it, how do you think they drove it; my guess is like CRAP**
Possibly i could add a system with the money i save?

Second question....
I really like my music....i used to have a reasonable setup in my old car, but i understand to replace one thing in the Bose system, is to replace everything...
so...If i just wanted to add some nice subs, like a 600-1200 watt system, how would the highs and mids sound? Would it definitely be neccesary to replace it all? I know thats expensive and i really dont have that kind of money...what do you recommend? Thank you so much!

i would show the one selling the 5 speed that i can get the fully loaded one for 10,000 and see if i can get the price dropped to like 9,000.

I love 5 speed and i would use the saving 500 to hook up your system and you can also sell your bose equipment to make a good 225-300 dollars more.

if you like leather seats, u can find someone here selling black ones for less than 500.

If u need leather seats (seems to be the only option besides wood that's missing from second car) i would invest the 500 on leather seats and get a new system and sell bose to make up atleast half of cost on new system.

but if u r an auto fan, then the auto is best for u, i just need 5 speed but wouldn't pay that much if it wasn't fully loaded. check kbb.com. I got my max with wayyy more mods and about 40,000 more miles for like 2,000 cheaper...i think they should do a little better on price...

I have the luxury of being in a family of Maximas. My dad owns a 96 Maxima GXE, which I used to drive around, I loved it. I now own a 98 Maxima SE. Mine is stick, his auto. They're both quick, but I don't see myself ever going to auto again, after the stick. I love my stick car, but if you're an auto fan, go with the auto. They're both great, (of course mine is better now) but it depends on your preference. I think you would have more fun with the stick though.

Buy the stick.

Changing to leather seats is WAY cheaper than getting a tranny swap.

Plus, that car has less miles, and manuals ROCK

(I am no way biased towards them or nothin )
