rattling from driver's wheel?

for the past few weeks i've noticed a strange rattling sound coming from around the front driver's side tire area. i went and got my tires balanced and rotated hoping this would fix the problem however it didn't. its not a constant rattle, but it does every few seconds or so usually. i can hear it and feel it with my feet. i even feel the rattling a little bit through the gas peddle while i'm driving. and the strange thing is that it stops once i reach higher speeds like on the interstate. does anyone have a clue what this is?

I know, I know!!!!

It's something lose on your car

Does it make the noise when you hit bumps?
Does it make the noise when you brake?
Does it make the noise when you accellerate?
Do you like green eggs and ham?

It could be a number of things from lose suspension components, brakes rattling, control arm bushings right down to just a lose pannel, mud flap, wheel well liner..... and the list goes on...

Sounds like it might be your wheel bearing starting to go bad.
