oh p.s if you are really not sure please don't put in your 2 cents thanks

I dont have all of the problems above i just remember that
I know i have a knock sensor CEL and my friend from UTI says that engine knocking is also something to do with the O2 sensors being out he told me replace the O2 sensors first then see if you still get knocking so i'm thinkin of buying one O2 Sensor now and buy one later on my next check do u guys think if it matters what bank i should change ? hehe lots of questions

Well i have a scan tool and my code says knock sensor ,but then it shows my 1st bank #2 o2 sensor is deceased. I bought one o2 but havent put it on yet but when i do i know knock code will go off.Right next to knock sensor code it tells me the o2 sensor is bad without showing its own code,so if you did self diognostic with screwdriver it would just say KS malfuc. Maybe i'll put o2 on today.

if your CEL displays the KS code itself, its bad....if it shows KS and some kind of o2, then its most likely the o2 sensor causing the KS code...

in terms of where those o2 sensors are ill take a look in my haynes manual later tonite and get back to ya on that

a quick 2 second search brought this up...

Hey guys thanks for helping out.... Thanks Jamson for bring up a diagram its cleared a lot of things in my head I just replaced my front (rh) sensor and a lot of power came back to my car (after resetting ECU) I just can't wait till i get my front left is put in but I'll tell you that the front right oxygen sensor was a B**** !!! took me some time to get that out liquid wrench I think helped a lot. I also got another CEL and checked it out I decoded it and found out that it was the Knock Sensor and Rear sensor but I think that if i change out the front left O2 sensor it will go away and I think i need to change the rear one too.... but don't know that till i change it out But As I was under there I took a look at the front left sensor and it looked like it was impossible to reach in there with a tool anyone have any tips !! just want to say thanks again who helped out

AutoZone is selling there O2 Sensor for $77 for front left and right sensors it's by Bosch just want to tell everyone

Tool to replace o2 sensor

Autozone has a tool loaner program with a special tool specifically for o2 sensors. Worked perfectly and quickly for me.

I heard Bosch is supposed to be good w/ O2 sensors

I too was having a CEL light on involving one of the O2 sensors for a while, then it turned itself off and it's been off ever since.

Last time I checked the CEL code, I came up w/ 0409

Just to double-check (pls. correct me if I'm wrong), this code is for an O2 sensor located somewhere in the right bank going bad?

The OEM O2 sensors on the Maxima are Bosch. You can get them for like $52 from Brown and Brown Nissan here;
