Reversed rear blinkers
Reversed rear blinkers
How would I go about setting up the rears blinkers on my '96 so they would stay on when I turn all the lights on and then blink normally when I perform a turn?
Did a search, couldn't find much (been having problems with the searches lately...not turning up things I KNOW I've found before).
Thanks.

Ummm ... why would you do something like this? Having your turn signals on all the time, annoying everyone behind you?

Illegal, your asking for trouble.

as for doing it, i don't know for sure, but i would imagine it would just take some simple wire splicing/rewiring in the trunk. good idea.
by the way, which red-out method did you use?

put a big sticker on your car that says "IM AN IDIOT"
All you need to do is buy a 1157 bulb socket (double filament) and wire the parking light circuit to the lower wattage filament of the bulb, and wire the turn signal circuit to the higher wattage filament. I did this on my '95 when I had Alteezas. But, since the stock tailight bulb housing on the '95-'96's are wired in one unit, you will have to go around this by getting a 1157 socket so that you can wire both filaments on the bulb.

I used the paint from testors to red them out. Looks decent, but I think next time I'll try the tape. And no, none of this is illegal.
No, you shouldn't have a problem with blinking on-off, off-on, etc. You don't want the light to light up when braking, right? Like I mentioned before, the light will light constant under the low wattage filament side of the bulb (when the parking light circuit is on) and will blink bright when the turn signal is on. The higher wattage side of the bulb will always blink bright whether the parking lights are on or not. Trust me, this method works, because I had done the same.
