Greddy Evo

I have a 96 maxima se and I am looking for a new exhuast. I know they make the evo exhuast for the 99 maxima I was wondering if anyone knows if you can make that exhuast fit on my 96. If so if it is hard to do thanks.

yeah it fits the 99.5's... for it to fit your 96, you basically have to get it cut and welded by a muffler shop.

where on the exhaust would you have to get it cut and welded? the tip on the evo would basically stick out more thus you would have to get the tip shortended, is that what you mean?

I don't know that any of the piping fit?... someone correct me if I'm wrong about this, but you'd end up cutting the b pipe and rewelding....not just the pipe...comon all you maxima p/w

It might have an extra sensor hole cut in it, also the length wouldnt be corect, both problems are fixable by your local muffler shop though, and I might be wrong about the sensor thing

The sound difference was probably because one car had different mods than the other. A Y and a high flow cat and intake could make the exhaust note change a bit.
