Heated leather seat question

I bought some leather seats, and the seller told me they were heated, but I don't think they are. How would I know? Would there be an extra plug coming down from the bottom of the seat, or is it all in the same one as the power cord?

I don't want to put the switches and everything in my car until I know the seats are heated...

Mine had an extra plug. It's three wires, 2 black and a yellow one I believe. So look for the plug of some extra wires somewhere under the seats.

Is this how everybody's is? Because everyone is always saying how the Maxima already has the wiring harness under the seat for the heated seating... well, I do not see it. I only see a place for TWO plugs to plug in under the driver seat, and for ONE plug to plug in under the passenger seat. The wires coming up from under the carpet are yellow and black.

For the wires under my driver seat, there is one big plug, and one really small one. Even with the big one plugged in and the small one NOT plugged in, the seat still has power and moves in all directions, so I could not figure out what the small one was for, but I plugged it in anyways.

And like I said, there's only one plug under the passenger seat, and only one place to plug it into that I could find.

Any other help would be great. I'm kind of angry that this guy told me they were heated, and they're probably not...

if that other plug is yellow then it is for side air-bags. i would like to add heated seats to my GLE, and if nissan did put the harness there, then that means the seats are alread for it, just need a switch..

am i correct in my assumption?

thanks

I think the little plug is for the seatbelt warning. There should be one big plug for the power seat and another big plug for the heat. If it only has one big plug it is probably not heated. I added heated cloth seats to my 98 SE and one difference I noticed is the panel on the back of the seat is concave on the non heated and flat on the heated, plus of course the two big plugs. My seats are out of a 97 Max (before side airbags), on the 98-99 Max side airbags and heated seats where packaged together but I don't know what it would look like. I would guess that it has more than one big plug though. Heated seats are one of the few things Maximas are NOT prewired for.
