What's the big deal?
Talking about what stock Maximas can do gives a reference point. For instance, knowing what a stock Max tops out at helps determine how much horsepower your mods are going to have to give in order to get to a higher top speed.

There's no way in hell that a stock auto with no mods whatsoever could break much over 140 unless hell froze over. 150 would mean your gauges are just plain broken or inaccurate.
I agree with you. I think the stock may go close to or over 140 but only by a little, since the 5spd was topping out at 144. Since the biggest factor at this point is probably drag, they should be fairly close. But it's definitely not making 150.

There are a few.

Coming from Mass going into Vermont on I-91 towards where it goes into New Hampshire is FRIGGING GREAT. No traffic, few cops and a couple of huge straights with big guardrails on either side with no exits. Woohooooo.

My car (98SE 5spd w/ H&R's & AGX's) can hit well over 140(a good HUGE downhill). But it doesn't feel real planted to me like a vette. Sorta like it's not meant to run there for long. But be real careful and make sure you're not having to pass anyone at that kind of speed. Check your tire pressures beforehand.

Don't have an auto bud but your welcome to take a pic of my car doing 150, I can't do it right now but give me a week or so (the car will do 140 and after the VI...well), I'll be passing through Montgomery in a few weeks and it will be my honor to make my car pull 150 down the dolly pardon bridge.

my fav is to shift like a manual and drop her straight down to first, redline all gears.

You're going downhill. That's why you don't feel planted . . . .

Anyways, going downhill on a top speed run doesn't count

I've hit 140+ on flats, and the car could have stayed there all day if it wasn't for the curves.
