lets be honest, i wanted to do this cuz it was cheaper, quicker. There are a few people with their shocks doing fine with lowering springs, and there there are the majority's who blew. My rears blew withtin two weeks of progress springs being installed. i have agx's all around now. this is my advice, at the least you buy springs and rear agx's. your rears will blow out way before your fronts ever will with lowering springs. If budget is the question, then get the rears, becuz blown rears are very dangerous due to nothing to keep your A$$ planted on the ground (like the engine weight on the front)if you go around a bend while also hitting a sharp bump, u will actually feel your rear tires get maybe a couple mm's off the ground becuz it sorta jumps over and slides. Happened to me too many times and nearly cost me my life. Be smart. look at my old posts, i was convinced you could ride on stocks for a while. go with the majority on this one.

Good luck.

Bumpstops sit on the stem? of the shock/strut to help the shock with bottom outs. When you use lowering springs you are reducing the traver of the strut/shock by the amount of inches of the lowering springs you use, therefore the bumpstops are cut to gain back some of the suspension travel when lowering springs are used. These bumpstops are orange colored in the front, and are a part of the dust boot in the rears. Now, cutting bumpstops isn't required but most people do just because they/I feel that it make the ride a little smoother. This may not be the most accurate answere but it's close.
My ride is a little hard on bumps but smooth on the highway. I think my shocks/struts are becoming softer now after about 2 weeks of driving lowered.
Good luck.

go with maxspeed. Heard they are closest to stock and heard about a lot of people with them with stock shocks with no problems. BUt the thing is that it doesnt give you that low of a drop but still will eliminate the 4by4 look. MAxspeed springs now running in the gd thread
