I'm replaced the base tape-deck w/ a pioneer single CD player... how do i get the plastic fascia/molding off (once I get that off, I'm pretty much homefree.. have installed many car stereos). Thanks in advance!

This was helpful to me. http://carstereohelp.com/stereoremovalNisMax2.htm Make sure you're careful when you remove the bose stereo from the holding brackets. I stripped 2 of the screws and it was a real pain in the **** to get them out. Had to drill them, then use a reversed threaded bit. But just use caution.

98,

Thanks!! That's extremely helpful .. my girlfriend's max doesn't have the Bose .. she has the single din std. pc. of crap stereo.. but after looking at those pics on your link, it looks like the same theory applies to taking things out. Thanks again!
