New headlight bulbs...
I've got the stock headlights as of right now ('96 gxe), but one of the headlights went out the other night. I'm considering buying some decent looking lights (i.e. white) from custommaxima.com. I was thinking about the 9004 bulb (65/45 watt which give the light of a 120/95 bulb)...
However, what kind of upgrades (harness?) would be needed for a higher watt bulb switch? Can you just replace them without any modification?
Thanks for the input.

i dunno about that, but i didnt know i had 100/80 w bulbs until one of my harnesses fried. So i bought a wiring harness from suvlights.com and i noticed somewhat brighter lights. I recommend u get the harnesses from them.
I bought the www.southwestautoworks.com upgraded harnesses when I bought overwattage Nokya bulbs. No problems with melting or anything so far. Im thinking of switching to different bulbs like silverstars though.
You should get an aftermarket harness, because like some of the others said. It will make your bulbs brighter, and it will not fry the back of the adapters causing an electrical fire. The back of my plugs started burning, and actually melted the plastics before I caught it. I replaced it with a harness, and used delectric grease to prevent arching, and corrosions in the plugs.
I just bought Sylvania Silverstars and they are noticably whiter than stock, both looking at the headlights and while I'm driving. I even left one side stock and one side with the Silverstars just to see the difference (no I didn't drive around like that). The bulbs are about $25 a piece, but they are offering a $10 rebate until june when you send in the rebate coupon (available from auto parts store, I got mine from Advance Auto), and the two UPCs.
The Silverstars are the same wattage so its not necessary to upgrade the wiring harness. Its a pretty good bang for the buck I think.
