Anyone know much about this 'Bomz' CAI ???

Know much about it? They're avaiable on ebay for $75 They have a different 'sample' picture on the ad, but this is what they are selling.

And the ebay auction is here....

Thanks!

the one on the website and the one on e-bay look completely different... the e-bay auction doesn't even say it's the same "Bomz" CAI...the sample pic is definitely not a Maxima application...I would try to learn more about the one on the e-bay auction before you buy that one...

Gotrice4 is right , the pic show on ebay doesn't seem like it will fit on the Maxima. I won't go for ebay auctions.

It says 'sample picture' on the auction. I emailed him the link above, and he replied that his comes from the same manufacturer.

The price is right, hopefully it's a good product.

Good Luck!

Looks like we have an even better deal going on from this very site! The overall price w/shipping is even cheaper. Check out the following thread for more details...

Good Luck!

The "$85" guy doesn't specify how long it's going to take them to ship it out though. I've sent him an email (bimmer something) and haven't got a reply yet, anybody knows him?? Does he have a race shop or at least a website with a business permit??

I've ordered mine from directcarparts for $86.96 shipped, they sent me an email when they had it in-stock (right before x'mas) saying they had shipped it to me through UPS the same day...
UPS says the CAI will arrive to my door tomorrow... can't wait to put it on!

You can check my thread for a response to your post. The bimmer e-mail is only used for his bidpay.com account. If you have any questions you can e-mail me at mjmachon@sbcglobal.net because i am the one finding people to buy them. I'll get my digicam and take a picture of the exact item and then post it in my thread.

I'm the one putting together the deal, he's the one getting paid. I'm Mario and he's Marco. Marco does have a business permit, as well as an account with Bomz (with a permit as a requirement to open an account for resale).

Check out the link in my sig. I'm going to try to get them out for either $80 shipped ground, or $85 2nd day air. If he doesn't agree then it'll stay $85 shipped. Exact time of arrival to your door depends on where you live.

Once again please e-mail me for more info. We currently have 12 in stock, as well as some CAIs for Saturns believe it or not.

Install instructions?

This kit does require the a hole to be drilled to fit the filter behind the foglight hole like the Place Racing unit, right?

Are the tubes on this kit made from aluminum? I believe they are supposed to be.

Does the filter look like a quality piece, or will it need replaced by a higher quality unit?

How about an overall opinion about the quality of the kit???

I'm anxious to get information from people who have done an install...

Thanks!

I got my CAI kit yesterday, the filter is kind of like K&N style no bad quality. I am very sure the tubes are made from aluminum.

And I am sure that is same as the PR CAI , it should be same installation as the PR one. I will try to install it this weekend.

Overall I will give the CAI A++ grade.

Bomz install

How did the install go? Could you post some specifics? Was there any drilling or cutting and if so how much?
