I just read that spraying simple green on the entire engine and then hosing it down will not hurt the car? Is that true? I just bought a 95 GLE and do not know much about what can get wet and what cannot. Need some help cause I would like to fix it up. Also the other post said that ARMOUR ALL is okay to use after to make it really clean. Someone confirm that this does work. Im bot sure I believe this. Thanks Happy New Year.

if you are going to do that MAKE SURE U COVER YOUR ALTENATOR WITH A PLASTIC BAG oR SOMTHING, i never did but i know people who did.

I have NEVER worried about covering anything before washing the engine, and I wash the engine compartment every time I wash my car. Just make sure that the engine is COLD!

Some people swear by Simple Green, I just swear at it; I don't think it cleans worth a damn. Once you have removed all of the grease with Gunk, just use the same car wash that you use for the exterior.
