STOCK air filter is better IMO

my cousin has a 98 max auto with stock parts. i think it is much peppier low end, compared to my 98 auto with JWT pop+midpipe. im getting skeptical to wether the air filter is just "psychological HP", but im sure at higher end the pop is better. anyone have dynos on a comparison between stock and a pop charger?

could it be that your car is heavier? I noticed you have some subs in the trunk.

Could it be the extra serving of thanksgiving turkey you had

Perhaps its time you changed your fuel filter. It made a difference for me. Maybe its your trany oil or motor oil that's running dirty? are you also comparing manual versus automatic?

There are other factors to consider.

i dunno. once the car hits cam-phasing (3000-3200 rpm) i feel a lot quicker revs when i put the intake on. plus it sounds so aggressive...

stock air box is defniitely the best for low end. but that box chokes the car up so bad when you rev higher. no wonder my friends modded gsr beat me up when i was stock.
