I am replacing the bulbs in my foglights tomorrow with Hella yellowstars. My question, I understand that with this rewire you can run the fogs with the parking lights, but can you still cut the fog lights off/on with the factory switch, I mean that if one of the fog lights burns out I can cut the switch and the other one will be off. Please advise, my buddy has a 328is and is always giving me a hard time b/c he can run his road lights whenever he wants. Thanks in Advance!

got mine where WICKED1044 got his from, they were $12 each. They look really good at night. Better than the PIAA Ion Crystal ones, they were to pinkish for me. The only down side to them is that they look white from a far distance, but up close very yellow.
I actually ran all new wiring for my fogs and bypassed all the stock wiring. I used a heavier gauge with a lrger fuse to accomodate the x2 85watt bulbs. I also ran a new switch that i found right next to the dimmer switch and it looks stock. Having them wired this way it enables me to put them on with the car on or off and WITHOUT parking lamps. Looks very cool at dusk! Ill have pics up soon.

You could have just wired the signal wire to any +12v accessory. I wired it to a +12V accessory wire that's from the wiper relay. This way, you can still use the stock foglight switch to turn the fogs on or off regardless of the headlights or parking lights. If you forget to turn them off, it will go off when you turn off the car since it's +12V accessory like the headunit.

Does the "lights on" alarm still sound with the re-wire?

The name of the place is Susquehanna Motorsports and the number is 1-717-993-2215, the guy's name is Ken Beard. I have the 55W versions and they cost $27.64 shipped. I hope this helps.

Yellow light is cool...I'm thinking about getting the 9004 yellow bulbs by Philips at this site:

Yes, it still alerts you that the lights are left on.
