I did a search and cant find any thing about being able to use the old grill with the 97-97 front conversion. I thought that a while back i read a post stating it could be done but i cant find it. Is it possible? Would the fitment be crappy and ugly looking?

 

if you look at it really carefully the 95-96 bumper comes up a little bit inside the headlights

where as the 97-99 bumper does not have those little notches


so therefore if you were to use the grill from a 95-96 on the 97-99 bumper there would be a little gap

but, i'm not sure if you have to change the headlights or not, but if you do you're gonna need the 97-99 grill because the insides of the headlights are at less of an angle (i think, but i'm not 100%)

if this doesn't make sense tell me

 

I Have a 96 max put a 97 front bumper no need to change headlights
i used my 96 grill had my friend extend sides they are to short
on 96 grill.

 

thanks,ill probably use my 96 grill untill my 97 se grill comes in....Its been almost three weeks im hoping its due to holiday mail traffic and not due to a fellow org member scamming me!
