I didnt know someone who "knows" about cars could know so little. kid in my school also has a '95 max as do I and he talks about them with me all the time. I knew he didnt know too much about them when he tried to get me to buy one of those intake sensor mods w/ him. So I told him I was ordering a y pipe the other day and there was a long quiet pause. He says "whats that?" I explained it and then he said to me " oh well that wont add any hp and you'll need a new bumper" I had this blank empty stare at him when he said this and i said um no, it doesnt come near the bumper at it adds 10-15hp which suprised the hell out of him. After explaining where it goes he says, "are you trying to make dual exhaust, because maximas dont have y pipes" After that i was afraid to hear what might come out of his mouth next, so i just said- no Eric maximas have a V6, so there are 2 banks of cylinders so there are to headers... then I walked away and laughed. I'm not trying to make fun of anyone hear, but if you dont know what you are talking about then just be quiet. It was too funny.

give the guy a break he was probably just tryin to make conversation, not all people worship their car like some of us.

 

i agree also. if the guy was genuinly uninformed about the y-pipe, then just teach him and tell him to come and check out the org.

now if he was being smug and was really stubborn about what he thought he knew, then just turn up the sarcasm (sp?).
