Cluth, pilot bearing??

I am installing a new clutch and pressure plate on my 97 maxima and the thowout bearing and copper pilot bearing. Do i have to remove the pressure plate to get the pilot bearing out? If not what is the best way to take that litte copper pilot bearing out?
thanks

Well yeah you do. Since you have to take off the clutch assy and flywheel off anyway to switch and resurface. Besides, you wouldn't have any room to access this bushing if you didn't take that stuff out
